His sister was adopted by my Aunt Marilyn and looked like Lassie, yet Duke, for some reason, looked like a wolf - a mix of German Shepard and husky. \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eDuke was my best bud growing up - in fact most of the earliest pictures of me have Duke in the background, protecting me from everything I didn't know about at that age. \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eDuke passed away when I was young, Maybe 9 or 10. But it was that bond I had with him that still, to this day, impacts the way I see the world around me. \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAnd that, my friend, is the point.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eYou see, just like I wrote on the card - true friendships are more than just a season.
